And since I haven’t posted in quite a while….

Jace and Clary ♡

Jace and Clary ♡

I saw you there, clearly, as if you were standing in front of me, watching me, and I knew I wanted to live, wanted it more than I’d ever wanted anything, if only so that I could see your face one more time. And now I’m looking at you, and you’re asking me if I still want you, as if I could stop loving you. As if I would want to give up the thing that makes me stronger than anything else ever has. I never dared give much of myself to anyone before—bits of myself to the Lightwoods, to Isabelle and Alec, but it took years to do it—but, Clary, since the first time I saw you, I have belonged to you completely. I still do. If you want me.

HELL WEEK ugh :(

I’m so sorry for not being able to post anything lately (or read anything lately), Finals week is on going and I barely have any time left to do anything. As I am writing this I’m studying (procrastinating) for my three exams tomorrow! 😦 Hopefully, after the hell week I will be able to update.

Also if you haven’t noticed I changed the blog name and the url and also the theme ♡ Do you like it?

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

Title: Uglies
Author: Scott Westerfeld
Genre: Young Adult Dystopian Romance
Series: Uglies #1
Next in Series: Pretties
Release date: February 8, 2005
Goodreads rating: 3.8 stars (out of 5)
My Rating: 5 stars (out of 5)

Note: There may be spoilers.

It was a really interesting book. It’s about this dystopian society, where everything has to be by the book, everything has to be perfect. And because of that, when an ‘ugly’ turns 16, she/he has to go through an operation to be a ‘pretty’, or at least what the society’s standard of pretty is. And after that, all you have to do is go to parties. When you get older, you get another operation to become a ‘middle-pretty’.  And when you get even older, you get another operation to become a ‘crumbly’. But there is a catch, the operation doesn’t only turn you physically ‘pretty’, it makes you think like a ‘pretty’. And this society has a ‘different’ standard of pretty.

I loved this very much. It had a great story, great everything. Every concept of the society was incredibly planned well. This is a book that would really make you think. And it really gives meaning to the phrase “Perfect is how we look at it”.

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

Title: Before I Fall
Author: Lauren Oliver
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy Romance
Series: N/A
Next in Series: N/A
Release date: February 14, 2010
Goodreads rating: 3.95 stars (out of 5)
My Rating: 5 stars (out of 5)

This is one of the best, if not the best I’ve ever read. It’s so perfect and beautiful and beyond everything. I love the whole story, the plot, the characters, everything. It was so vivid, I felt as if I were there. I love how each part of the story is playing out in my head as I was reading it. I love how emotional it made me feel–I was bawling my eyes out, laughing, angry, annoyed, hopeful. I especially love how we see Sam evolve, from this shallow, self-centered girl to to a very brave and selfless girl in the end.  I love how brave Sam gets in the end that she didn’t let what she wants to do stop her from doing what she needs to do.

It was also beautifully written. And it really makes you think. Even after reading this book, it haunts me. It makes me think. And since I loved it so much, I want to give you a few lines that I especially loved from this book.

“…because that’s when I realized that time doesn’t matter. That’s when I realized that certain moments go on forever. Even after they’re over they still go on, even after you’re dead and buried, those moments are lasting still, backward and forward, on into infinity. They are everything and everywhere all at once.”

Torment by Lauren Kate

Title: Torment
Author: Lauren Kate
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy Romance
Series: Fallen #2
Next in Series: Passion
Release date: September 28, 2010
Goodreads rating: 3.92 stars (out of 5)
My Rating: 5 stars (out of 5)

This is the second part of the Fallen series. And likewise with Fallen, I have fallen in love with Torment. This is basically about the 18-day Truce between Daniel and Cam and much more exciting things. (I don’t really wanna spoil the suspense, y’know). As the story unfolds further, more characters are introduced.

*Spoiler alert : If you haven’t read this yet, I suggest you not to read anything I’ll be writing below this line*

I especially loved Miles, really. I think if I was Luce I may have chosen him over Daniel. I don’t know.

And the Outcasts! I’m so excited for Passion.

Sorry! :(

Been too busy to read anything lately. 😦 College isn’t being friendly and I had to try my best to get back on track and get my grades up, so I’ve been a lot busy lately. Although I’ve been writing a new chapter bit by bit and also a new story, so I promise to post as soon as I finish it! 🙂 ♥
